Power Packages are an engineering concept utilizing Caterpillar Industrial Engines matched to Allison Transmissions that are custom engineered for difficult and unique applications. When gear speed changes are required to transfer load conditions under full throttle and full load, power pack is the answer. The advantage lies in matching the diesel engine torque curve to the torque converter curve of the transmission.

Our engineered Power Package will start the load and progressively soft shift for a smooth transition from speed to speed within the transmission range. This negates the need to slow down and de-clutch for speed changes.

A Caterpillar/Allison Power Package can help lower downtime and maintenance costs associated with clutch replacement. In addition, incremental damage may occur to u-joints, axles, drive shafts and differential caused by manual transmission shock loading and driver abuse.
